We have been invited to participate in the Helsinki Design Lab Global Event on September 1–3, 2010 event in Helsinki, where “Government meets Design,” a group of leading figures in global design and policy circles will convene to explore the emerging leadership role for design. The three day event is focused on examining how “owners” of large scale challenges can identify pathways for strategic & systemic improvement through design.

The Mapping Istanbul project initiated by Garanti Gallery has reached a new level as the book was released yesterday at the book launch at garajstanbul. The book will be available for online ordering from the Istanbul bookstore Robinson Crusoe.

Mapping Istanbul is moving on...

Initially conceived as part of t;http://www.garantibank.com/about_garantibank/community_relations/garanti_gallery.html" target="_blank">Garanti Gallery's "Becoming Istanbul" exhibition at DAM, Frankfurt, "Mapping Istanbul" is currently on solo show at the Europe XXL exhibition in Lille, France. Later this year the complete Becoming Istanbul will be exhibited at DAZ in Berlin and in Bahrain at the Al Riwaq Gallery.
Currently the teams involved in the production of Mapping Istanbul is working on bringing the animated maps to printed format. GG has commissioned Projects Projects based in New York to lead the effort towards publishing the book late summer 2009.
Urban Age

Superpool has been invited together with the 4 Istanbul offices GB, PAB, Sekiz Arti and SO? to participated in this year "Urban Age Istanbul Conference". The invitation includes a commission for a spatial study of various issues related to the sustainable urban development of Istanbul.
